Sakura (Japanese Cherry)

TANKEN The Standing Desk handcrafted from Sakura (Japanese Cherry) sourced from Miyagi Prefecture.

The desk pictured is made of Tamo (Japanese Ash) and is a similar tone to Sakura.

Sakura has a special wavy grain pattern that creates a shimmering effect in the light, known as chijimi-moku or fiddleback grain. We’re excited to see how this shimmer accentuates the legs of the standing desk.

The order contains:

• Standing desk

• Assembly tools (screws, L-wrench, extra long grommet for customer provided monitor arm)

• Carrying case for table top

• Carrying case for legs

• Wood care set (natural beeswax and wiping cloth)

The order does NOT contain:

• Tablet tray

Desk Height

We offer standardized heights S, M, L, however for optimum ergonomics, we recommend customizing to your specific height. To determine the right standing desk height for you, measure the distance from the floor to your elbow bent at 90 degrees and add 2 cm to that. Keep in mind that you may want to take your shoes on or off depending on your usual working style. Read more here.

All of our products are crafted in the order in which they are placed. Estimated delivery time is approximately 3-4 months.

Shipping

Shipping to East Asia/Southeast Asia is included.

Shipping to other countries is an additional 50,000 yen.

In-workshop pickup in Tokyo is also available.
