TANKEN The Standing Desk handcrafted from Sakura (Japanese Cherry) sourced from Miyagi Prefecture.
The desk pictured is made of Tamo (Japanese Ash) and is a similar tone to Sakura.
Sakura has a special wavy grain pattern that creates a shimmering effect in the light, known as chijimi-moku or fiddleback grain. We’re excited to see how this shimmer accentuates the legs of the standing desk.
The order contains:
Standing desk
Assembly tools (screws, L-wrench, extra long grommet for customer provided monitor arm)
Carrying case for table top
Carrying case for legs
Wood care set (natural beeswax and wiping cloth)
Desk Height
We offer standardized heights S, M, L, however for optimum ergonomics, we recommend customizing to your specific height. To determine the right standing desk height for you, measure the distance from the floor to your elbow bent at 90 degrees and add 2 cm to that. Keep in mind that you may want to take your shoes on or off depending on your usual working style. Read more here.

All of our products are crafted in the order in which they are placed. We ask for a refundable ¥50,000 pre-order deposit to ensure your place in line. Once we are ready to start crafting your order, we will ask for the rest of the price to be transferred. Wait time is approximately 2-3 months once we start crafting your order.
Cancellation + Refunds
Our ¥50,000 pre-order deposits can be cancelled and refunded at any time before the final order has been placed. Just shoot us an email. We will refund the deposit minus credit card processing fees (1980 yen).
Once the entirety of the order has been placed and we have started crafting your customized piece, we do not offer cancellations or refunds.

Free in-workshop pickup in Tokyo is available. For international customers with plans to visit Tokyo, we can arrange pickup timed with your trip.
